Gift giving season has officially arrived and I couldn’t be more thrilled.
I’ve talked about how much I love giving gifts before and, well, I’m not done talking about it. (‘Tis the season, right?) But as much as I seek out that adrenaline rush from giving a great present, I’ll be the first to admit that it’s not always easy. Even a gifting aficionado can run into some roadblocks. Some people are just hard to please. Others you may have just completely forgotten about until the last minute. (We won’t tell!)
Whatever the case, stocking stuffers are here to save the day. They’re small, so they won’t break the bank, but they’re also intentional, so even if you did wait until you were down to the wire — no one will notice.
Slow North has an abundance of cute, sustainably-made stocking stuffers that are sure to brighten anyone’s holiday season. Here are some of my favorites!
Give the gift of peace of mind with a meditation stone. I chose amethyst because I’m an Aquarius and it’s my birthstone, but you can find other stones for all the zodiac signs.
A meditation stone draws the power of the crystal into your practice. Amethyst is known to invoke peacefulness, strengthen intuition, balance emotions, and promote spiritual awareness.
It’s also deeply healing and closely associated with the divine. Amethyst promotes mental clarity and positive energy. It allows us to tap into our creativity with a calm, focused mind, encourages profound transformation, and may protect against misfortune.
The scent of eucalyptus and lavender is both invigorating and calming. This travel-sized candle is a great gift for the jetsetter in your life. Better yet, every Slow North candle is made of 100% essential oil fragrances and is free from artificial dyes and ingredients.
Pair your candle with this cute set of moon phase matchsticks. They’re also great for lighting incense!
This all-natural herbal facial steam is the answer to cold days and dry skin. It’s an expertly-curated herbal blend that includes marshmallow root, lavender, raspberry leaf, peppermint, and calendula.
To prepare your facial steam, scoop two tablespoons into a bowl. Pour four to six cups of hot, steaming water over the botanicals and stir. Sit down at a table in front of the bowl and let it cool for a few moments. Drape a large towel over your head and let it catch the rising steam as it bathes your face for 10 minutes. Then wash, rinse, and apply your favorite toner. Repeat weekly.
This mask is a superstar mixture of skin-friendly goodness. Turmeric is packed with antioxidants and is ideal for sensitive skin thanks to its natural anti-inflammatory properties. Beetroot powder is also rich in antioxidants and helps calm troubled or oily skin.
