Kettle & Brine Hosts Slow North Workshop

Last weekend, we led our first-ever candle-making workshop at the lovely Kettle & Brine here in Austin, TX. While we’ve often talked about hosting an event like this, Kettle & Brine gave us the extra push by scheduling and making it happen, and we couldn’t be happier about it!

Slow North Candle Making Workshop

We had a full house - more than 20 new friends joined us to learn about the candle-making process. Together we explored 14 essential oils, ranging from eucalyptus to lime to rosewood, and everyone experimented with their own custom blends.

During our afternoon of scent creativity, I led the group through the hands-on process of crafting unique, all-natural soy candles. The finished product was a beautiful, hand-poured candle in a stunning bronze catch-all bowl, finished with a wooden wick. Our new friends even left with a refill kit so they could repeat the process at home once their candle burned down.

We are so grateful to all who came out and joined us for the workshop! It’s incredibly rewarding to share our passion with you.

Stay tuned for more workshop dates coming up. We had too much fun...and will definitely plan another one soon!
